Hi there, I'm Nick

Right now, I'm doubling up on my intake of vitamin D supplements in London, UK.

Paddington Bear once said that “In London, everyone is different, and that means anyone can fit in.” And almost 7 years after moving here from Bradford, Ontario, this city now sort of feels like home. ❤️

At work, I'm venture investor backing the most ambitious, exceptional people interested in starting companies with us at Entrepreneur First. If this is you, I'd genuinely love to chat – you can book in a call with me here.

On the side, I’m finishing a part-time MSc Computer Science programme at the University of York and am proud to be a Venture Scout at Ada Ventures, sourcing investments in communities, and from founders, that are otherwise overlooked.

Previously, I attended UofT and studied Peace, Conflict, and Justice, as well as a Master's at LSE in China in a Comparative Perspective. Both degrees were intellectually stimulating, but not that relevant to what I do today.

After bailing on a PhD programme at Cambridge’s IfM, I worked as a Chief of Staff at SaaStock, in Talent at Founders Factory, local government technology at GlobalData, company operations at Ori Industries, and as the Head of Talent at yellowpop 💛

I spend my pastime playing basketball, reading about startups, and hanging out with my Siberian kitten, Alphonso.

I've beaten cancer and will be forever indebted to Dr. Sarah Rudman at Guy's Cancer Centre and my incredible partner, who both saved my life.

I also really, really love sneakers.
